Ukraines government formed more deals with putin and Russia which sparked violent protests within the Ukrainian population in a period called Euromaidan and forced the Ukrainian position yanukovych out of power.

A

Ukraine started military training with NATO which sparked violent actions from Putin which caused him to start invading into other parts of Ukraine suck as Kyiv and western parts of Ukraine rather than just Crimea which has caused a huge displacement of people (7.8 million Ukrainian refugees) being one of the largest displacements since WW2.

The water which runs into Pakistan is sourced from and area within India and runs through Kashmir before reaching pakistan. They signed the indus water treaty in 1960 which was mediated by the world bank where they agreed what the water was going to be used for.

Pakistan agreed that the western tributaries of the water was theirs and they would have unrestricted use of it. India has unrestricted use of water in the eastern tributaries.

What conflict rose to do with challenges within Kashmir
Pakistan claimed that India was building dams on tributaries as the water flowed through India to begin with causing weak water supplies in Pakistan. Population rising in Pakistan increased water demand and the weaker water supplies was causing a rise in conflict between Pakistan and India.
