Q
What are the types of drivers
A
o Predisposing drivers contribute to the creation of a context in which migration is more likely o Economic, political and environmental and geographical disparities/factors
Proximate drivers derive from deep-seated structural features o Countries of origin - economic or business downturns for worse, environmental degradation, human rights repression etc. o Places of destination - economic upturn, societal improvement, employment opportunities etc.
Precipitating drivers trigger departure,- ied to identifiable events, financial crisis, persecution, natural disaster etc.
Mediating drivers enable, facilitate, constrain, accelerate or consolidate migration and may diminish migration too: quality of transport, communications and resources
