Major Eating Disorders:

Anorexia Nervosa:

Refusal to eat, extreme weight loss

Distorted body image

Bulimia Nervosa:

Recurrent binge eating

Compensatory behaviours (vomiting, fasting, excessive exercise, laxatives)

Feelings of guilt after episodes

Binge Eating Disorder:

Large food intake in short time

No purging behaviors

Strong shame and guilt afterward
