  • PPE/C for fire protection at and MVA:
    o One FF to wear full structural turnout PPC and SCBA
    o A manned line of 38mm hose charged to 400kPa, pump with recirculation valve open
    o If a fire occurs, charge to 800kPa at the pump to achieve 700kPa at the branch

According to SOGs when responded to a Community First Responder incident and the patient refuses care. What should you do?

  • If care is refused, observe the patient until the ambulance arrives.
  • NB: assume an unconscious patient wants assistance. If patient previously refusing treatment loses consciousness, treat them.
