What is a stakeholder analysis?

A

“Systematic quantitative and qualitative analysis technique to determine the issues and interests to be taken into account throughout the project” (PmBok, 2013).

The aim is to identify the interests, expectations and influence of stakeholders.
Analysis must be based on the meaning and purpose of the project

(1) Precision defintion: which groups have the greatest interest in and need for the project and which groups are most disadvantaged? (2) Consider your experience: take into account the world of the group (its relevant characteristics) ex: life stages, gender distribution, social class, etc.) (3) Individual behaviour: circumstances and social conditions, the need to create conditions conducive to change; and the need to create conditions conducive to change (4) Participation: ensure the active participation of target group members in project planning, development, and implementation
