number of opamps needed for ADC flash converter
2^n n being the number of bits after the priority encoder
this includes the overflow opamp
Resolution of ADC
Affected by the number of op amps and the voltage range
Voltage input range/2^n
S0 a 3 bit converter with input range of 4V has a resolution of 0.5V so it needs 0.5V to change a bit
DAC circuit and resistor values
Circuit of a mixer with each bit having a different resistor therefore different gain.
LSB needs the lowest gain so it has the highest resistance and as you go up bits the resistance decreases.
From LSB to the next the resistance halves since the next bit needs to have 2 times the gain so half the resistance. Since each bit is 2 times bigger than the next one (base 2)
