Q

Prior to setting up for a slope, what must be confirmed/checked:

A

Setup:
- Confirm FLT Page set
- Pre landing checks (Park brake)

Discuss:
- Crew slope limits refresh (17650lbs/5º for uneven loads)
- Confirm the slope area is clear
- Landing light use/fire risk?

Q

When should a slope landing be aborted?

Q

Explain the steps to complete a slope landing:

A
  • Stable hover w/ setup complete
  • Lower COL until first wheel makes contact
  • Continue into slope CYC until complete ground contact
  • Hold cyclic POSN, confirm 3 degree FM limits
  • Lower COL untill 20%, centre the cyclic, lower COL fully
