Q

The eCLMnt server performs which DMS (Digital Motion System) software subroutines?

A
  • Computes the control loading actuator forces, positions, and movements from the load cells in the linkage and the flight parameters it receives from the host.

See eCLMnt DCLS (TM-1-5494-DCLS3-011), page 57

Q

DTT1 continues to fail when master reset. What to do?

A

Run the acronis set up. And follow the steps to load the program onto the computer. (Word Document)

Note: This did not work last time. (Update this answer once a correct scenario is working).

1/14/2026

Put old peripherals, cards and power supplies into newer computer? (This was done by the evening shift and they were able to get the computer to network properly).

17
Q

What is in the master index of the IOS?

A

ATIS, Weather, Cloud Layers, quick set, runway conditions

Runway lighting, malfunction index, circuit breaker index, crash, station search, demonstration record/ replay, target scenarios

scripted scenarios index, maintenance index

18
Q

Auto Trim In Progress is stuck on the screen?

A

Restart the host computer.

19
Q

10/16/2025

G5 problem:

Visuals are not responding. Tried doing a master reset but visuals are not resetting. The instruments in the cockpit are working and resetting.

A

What I did:

  • My training led me to believe that visual connection to the simulation had been interrupted or lost.

What I tried:

  • Attempted to reestablish a connection by using the tap stop/tap start feature (Picture went black on all projectors)

For future

  • To see if the DMS has disconnected use the Host Emulation feature to determine if projectors, visuals and DMS are connected and talking

What Dave did:

  • Restarted the host program at the IOS station (This reestablished the connection between the visuals and host)
20
Q

10/15/2025

B206 problem:

Projectors 5 & 6 are not aligned. This problem happened first thing in the morning when the simulator was started.

A

What I did:

  • Tap stop/ Tap Start did not work
  • Restarted the visual stack (This did not work)
  • Followed the procedure for restarting the DMS x2 (This did not work)

What Dave did:

  • Ran the spatial alignment (Projector 6 failed and we needed to bring the side wall over. Projector 8 failed and the test needed to be run again on the last two projectors 7, 8)
  • Spatial eventually passed and then the DMS was restarted.
  • The image was restored.

Note: Don’t clear the color

21
Q

Fault 1 faults in the DAS program are classified as?

A

Disengage faults: The system is brought to a settled position under Motion Base Computer control.

22
Q

CL DAS stopped incrementing at packet # XXXX

A
  • Could be a firewire problem in Moog’s associated card. Restart the application.
  • Otherwise, reboot the DAS

Note: See Quick list of eCLMnt faults

23
Q

What does TCP stand for?

A

Transmission Control Protocol.

TCP operates at the transport layer of the OSI model.

And it mainly manages the connection between the computers on a network.

24
Q

What does IP stand for?

A

Internet Protocol

IP operates at the third layer of the OSI networking model, i.e, the network layer.

The main function of this protocol is to define the way network data is supposed to be addressed from its source to destination.
