What is a species?
A group of similar or the same organisms that are capable of interbreeding and produce an offspring
What is spectation?
The process where biological species arise and can happen when two populations are reproductively isolated from one another.
How can they be isolated?
behavioral, structural, or biochemical traits that prevent them from reproducing. They can be completely different species because of their ecological conditions and behvaiors.
What are the modes of spectation
Allopatric spectation (geographically isolated/physically isolated) and sympatric spectation (evolution of populations with the same geographic area into seperate species)
What is adaptive Radiation?
When a single species evolves into a number of closely related species in one spectation event.
