how to measure ST
start of S to start of T
what is ST
time from end of ventricular depolarisation to the start of ventricular repolarisation (usually isoelectric)
abnormal ST
elevation >2mm (in two adjacent chest leads) elevation >1mm (in two adjacent limb leads = INFARCTION) depression = ischaemia (will be small at rest and larger during exercise)
what is the T wave
ventricular repolarisation
normal T wave
VR - inverted V1 - inverted (V2 - inverted in the young)
abnormal t wave
if inverted in I, II, and v4-v6 this could be ischaemia or infarction
digitalis / digoxin effect on T wave
causes T wave inversion and ST segment sloping depression

digoxin effect on T wave
