Q

S1.26- Promote equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice.

A

Included the different known foods for children, with the countries flags next to it. Builds on their UTW knowledge and encourages equality as the children will be showing their respectfulness during this activity to the other countries.

Understand that they can dislike a certain food however, that doesn’t mean they dislike the nationality/ country.

Q

S3.7/3.8- Plan and lead/facilitate educational activities and play opportunities to meet the needs of all children within a range of areas.

A

My activity will teach the children about UTW and when they’re older that they will need a job, as well as understanding dangers in the kitchen (hot things can burn you), and developing their language and communication.

Different children’s needs will be met throughout as they will have different roles that will allow them to succeed more and have my support as well for tasks that they still may need the support with.
- Different sized pens/ pencils will help the children that may struggle with fine motor skills.
- Smaller more simple words for children who are at lower levels in phonics (ham, cheese) and more complex words to challenge the children who are at a higher level (spaghetti Bolognese).
