OTR vs. COTA
A
OTRs can practice autonomously and do NOT require any supervision, although it is recommended to develop best practice competencies and foster professional growth.
COTAs/OTAs are REQUIRED to be supervised by occupational therapists for any and all aspects of the OT service delivery process.
