Q

How to stop errors while doing titration

A
  • take the funnel out from the biurets before any readings
  • view the line from its eye level to avoid paralex
    Calculate a mean titre

Q

6 step titration

A

Using a PIPETTE measure out a set volume of UNKNOWN CONCENTRATION into a flask

Add indicator solution NOT UNIVERSAL INDICATOR

fill a biurette with KNOWN CONCENTRATION substance all the way till full

Fill at eye level don’t hold it up

Remove funnel once done filling

Use the buirette to add known to unknown drop by drop

Make sure to regularly swirl flask

If some known concentration drips on side of flask wash into flask using distilled water

When colour changes write down value

Repeat
