A

Concern borrowers who are buying a property at a high than normal LTV. When the LTV exceeds a certain threshold the lender may charge the HLC.

What is a mortgage indemnity guarantee?
A single premium policy between the lender and insurer that pays out a sum of money to the lender if the borrower defaults on the mortgage and the sale doesn't cover the mortgage balance.

What can the Insurer do if the lender makes a claim on MIG?
The insurer can use it's legal right of subrogation to sue the borrower for the amount the insurer paid to the lender.

What is a Title Indemnity Fee?
Where the title cannot be fully guaranteed. The policy can protect only the lender or the lender and borrowers or subsequent purchasers from future claims of ownership.
