Consistency. Consistency will help students to know exactly what they’re getting and what will be happening. Students do not want surprises or disorganization.

Research has shown that the way that we were taught is not the most effective means for teaching. Teaching needs to go beyond pencil and paper, reading the chapter, and listening to an hour long lecture. Effective teachers do what the research tells us is most effective.

It is important for teachers to have a pattern of excellence, which means that they do the right thing over and over again; making them effective in the classroom. In order to teach one good lesson plan you need efficiency, but to truly be effective, means to do the right thing consistently.
