• Dysphagia or aged 55 and over with weight loss and any of:
  
  • Upper abdo pain
  • Reflux
  • Dyspepsia

When to refer non urgnetly for endoscopy in oesophageal cancer

Answer 2

Aged 55 and over when

• Treatment resistant dyspepsia or upper abdo pain with low Hb or raised platelet count and any of following:
  
  • N+V, weight loss, reflux, dyspepsia
    OR N+V with any of
    
    • weight loss, reflux, dyspepsia, upper abdo pain

Question 3

Criteria for non urgent endoscopy referral for sus stomach cancer

Answer 3

• Haematemesis
• 55+ with
  
  • Treatment resistant dyspepsia
  • Upper abdo pain w low Hb levels or raised platelet count with any of following:
    
    • N+V, weight loss, reflux, dyspepsia, upper abdo pain OR
    • N+V with any of following
      
      • Weight loss, reflux, dyspepsia, upper abdo pain

Criteria for urgent endoscopy referral for sus stomach cancer

Answer 4

Upper abdominal mass consistent with stomach ancer

• Dysphagia or aged 55+ w weight loss and any of:
  
  • Upper abdo pain
  • Reflux
  • Dyspepsia
