1929 - first air service via baggage on commercial airlines until 1931
1953 - 2 day delivery was created called Blue Label Air…also being transported on commercial airlines
1980 - SDF was opened as first major hub for sorting packages by aircraft
- UPS used companies like Evergreen and Orion to provide pilots and services. fleets of 727s, DC-8s, and 747s were used
1985 - next day air service to all 50 state and PR
1988 - UPS Airlines created as one of the biggest start ups in FAA history
