What are the two types of Validity?
-Internal and external.
What is internal validity?
A measure of whether results obtained are solely affected by changes in the variable being manipulated.
What is external validity?
A measure of whether data can be generalised to other situation outside of the research environment.
What is Face validity?
Does the test appear to measure what it says it measures.
What is concurrent validity?
Where the performance of the test in question is compared to a test that is already recognised and trusted within the same field.
What is Ecological Validity?
The extent to which psychologists can apply their findings to other settings.
