1. Prepare a heat-fixed slide with bacteria on it over a boiling water bath.
2. Add a few drops of Malachite green to the smear then cover it with bibulous paper
3. Keep on the water bath for 10-15 minutes and keep adding drops of malachite green so it doesn’t dry
4. After removing the paper and rinse the slide with water
5. Counter stain now with Safranin for 1 minute
6. Rinse, Blot dry, and examine, start at 4x all the way to 100x oil immersion lense
