Discuss the different evaluation standards to consider in program evaluation
*Utility: Who needs the evaluation results? Will the evaluation provide relevant information in a timely manner for them?
*Feasibility: How much time, money and effort can we put into this evaluation? Are the planned evaluation activities realistic given the time, resources, and expertise at hand? Ability to carry it out the evaluation.
*Propriety/Ethics: Does the evaluation protect the rights of individuals and protect the welfare of those involved? Does it engage those most directly affected by the program and changes in the program, such as participants or the surrounding community? Is there something I have to do to be ethical?
*Accuracy: Will the evaluation produce findings that are valid and reliable, given the needs of those who will use the results? What design will lead to accurate information?
Discuss the 6 steps of program evaluation process.
Step 1: Engage Stakeholders
Step 2: Describe the Program
Step 3: Focus the Evaluation Design
Step 4: Gather Credible Evidence
STEP 5: Justification of Conclusions
STEP 6: Ensuring Use & Sharing Lessons Learned
