Largely unconscious automatic process based on subconscious neural events with unconscious inferences from specific cues. However convious effort is sometimes needed to interperate sensory data.

What are the two interacting aspects of perception
A
Bottom up processing: processing based on incoming stimulai from the environment.
Top down processing: processing based on their previous knoweledge.
