A

Normative: Values, ethics, government as it ought to be. Philosophy, theory and debate.
Empirical: Facts, behaviour, outcomes. Government as it is. Stats, surveys.
Comparative: Cross-system analysis. Case studies.
Critical: Power, inequality, voices from below. Interviews and storytelling.
