Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Zergling - Weakness 1
Baneling (Zerg)
Reason: Hard Counter (AoE). Banelings are designed specifically to kill Zerglings. Their splash damage instantly clears swarms of light units.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Zergling - Weakness 2
Hellion (Terran)
Reason: Kiting & Splash Damage. Hellions are faster than Zerglings (off-creep) and their line-based splash damage is devastating to clumped lings.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Zergling - Weakness 3
Colossus / Archon (Protoss)
Reason: Splash Damage (AoE). Both units deal massive splash damage that negates the Zergling’s strength in numbers, clearing waves of them with ease.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Baneling - Weakness 1
Roach (Zerg)
Reason: High Health Durability. Roaches have enough health to survive multiple Baneling hits, making them a very cost-effective counter.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Baneling - Weakness 2
Marauder (Terran)
Reason: Ranged Durability & Slow. Marauders can kill Banelings from a distance before they connect, and Concussive Shells slow any escorting Zerglings.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Baneling - Weakness 3
Widow Mine (Terran)
Reason: Resource Inefficiency & AoE. A single Widow Mine shot can detonate an entire pack of Banelings, trading one cheap unit for many of yours.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Roach - Weakness 1
Immortal (Protoss)
Reason: Hard Counter (Bonus vs. Armored). Immortals are designed to kill armored units. They shred Roaches with their bonus damage while their Barrier negates the Roach’s initial attacks.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Roach - Weakness 2
Marauder (Terran)
Reason: Bonus vs. Armored & Slow. Marauders deal bonus damage to Roaches and their slow effect makes it impossible for Roaches to retreat or kite effectively.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Roach - Weakness 3
Mutalisk (Zerg)
Reason: Air-to-Ground Vulnerability. Roaches cannot attack air units, leaving them helpless against the high mobility and damage of Mutalisks.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Roach - Weakness 4
Siege Tank (Terran)
Reason: Out-Ranged & Splash Damage. A sieged Tank massively out-ranges a Roach and its splash damage will destroy a Roach army that tries to engage head-on.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Queen - Weakness 1
Battlecruiser / Void Ray (Terran / Protoss)
Reason: Low DPS & Slow Speed. Queens have very low damage-per-second against high-health capital ships, and they are too slow to retreat once targeted.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Queen - Weakness 2
Hellion / Adept (Terran / Protoss)
Reason: Strategic Vulnerability (Immobility). While a Queen can fight these units, they are too mobile for the Queen to chase. They can bypass the Queen to attack Drones or other hatcheries, exploiting the Queen’s slow speed.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Hydralisk - Weakness 1
Psionic Storm / Disruptor (Protoss)
Reason: Vulnerability to AoE. Hydralisks have low health and tend to clump together, making them extremely vulnerable to all forms of powerful splash damage like Storm and Purification Nova.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Hydralisk - Weakness 2
Siege Tank (Terran)
Reason: Fragility & Splash Damage. Even more so than Roaches, Hydralisks are deleted by Siege Tank splash damage due to their low health pool.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Hydralisk - Weakness 3
Baneling / Colossus (Zerg / Protoss)
Reason: Vulnerability vs. Light. Banelings deal massive damage to light units. Colossi also get bonus damage vs. light units, wiping out Hydralisk lines with their thermal lances.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Mutalisk - Weakness 1
Thor (Terran)
Reason: Hard Counter (AoE Air Attack). The Thor’s High-Impact Payload mode deals massive splash damage in the air, allowing a few Thors to decimate an entire Mutalisk flock.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Mutalisk - Weakness 2
Phoenix (Protoss)
Reason: Bonus vs. Light & Mobility. Phoenixes are faster than Mutalisks and deal bonus damage to light units, allowing them to win a direct air-to-air fight.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Mutalisk - Weakness 3
Archon / Infestor (Protoss / Zerg)
Reason: Vulnerability to AoE. Mutalisks must stack to be effective, making them a perfect target for an Archon’s splash damage or an Infestor’s Fungal Growth.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Corruptor - Weakness 1
Hydralisk (Zerg)
Reason: Grounded Anti-Air Superiority. The Corruptor’s air-to-air weapon is slow and designed for armored targets. High-DPS ground units like Hydralisks will shred Corruptors quickly.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Corruptor - Weakness 2
Viking (Terran)
Reason: Resource Inefficiency & Range. While Corruptors can fight Vikings, Vikings are cheaper and have slightly longer range, allowing Terran to build more and kite them effectively.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Corruptor - Weakness 3
Void Ray (Protoss)
Reason: High DPS. A mass of Void Rays with their Prismatic Beam charged will melt Corruptors, even though Corruptors are armored. The sustained damage is too high.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Lurker - Weakness 1
Disruptor (Protoss)
Reason: Immobility & AoE. A burrowed Lurker cannot dodge the Disruptor’s Purification Nova, which will kill it in one shot.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Lurker - Weakness 2
Siege Tank / Liberator (Terran)
Reason: Out-Ranged & Zoning. Both units can attack the Lurker from outside its attack range, forcing it to unburrow and reposition.
Zerg Unit Weaknesses - Unit: Lurker - Weakness 3
Viper / Raven (Zerg / Terran)
Reason: Ability Counter & Detection. A Viper can Abduct a Lurker out of its position. A Raven’s Interference Matrix can disable a Lurker’s attack, rendering it useless for a short period.
