ABC 2-2011 MODIFIED RESPONSE

• The following incidents are classified as modified single unit
  emergencies and assigned as single unit responses.(RESPONDING UNITS WOULD OPERATE IN THE 10-20 MODE
  WHILE RESPONDING TO THESE SELECT CALL TYPES)

GROUP 1 CALL TYPE:

1. Water leaks
2. Trees Down (no wires, buildings, vehicles involved)
3. Lock-ins (no reported food on stove or other associated emergency)
4. Salvage truck
5. ERS no contact (2300 to 0800)

• NOTE: When a single unit responding to a group 1 call type receives
  additional information, or the dispatcher fills out assignment,
  THE OFFICER OR ASSIGNED BC may direct an EMERGENCY
  RESPONSE, if warranted. Dispatcher shall announce that the
  10-20 response is cancelled and that all units shall respond in
  the emergency mode.
• For Group 2 Call types, the 1st due companies will respond in
  EMERGENCY MODE. All other companies will go 10-20.

2. Sprinkler
3. Odor (other than smoke)
4. Manhole
5. Electrical Emergency
6. BARS
7. Class E
8. Class J
