Cabin door operation
A
once a cabin door has been closed from the outside, CC must push down firmly on the door handle until it has reached its furthest position. ( approx. 180 degrees)
If CC are not present or do not witness the door being closed, they must complete this step at any point prior to aircraft movement.

Arming
A
- Place red warning strap across the viewing window.
- Remove the girt bar from the stowage hooks on the door bustle.
- insert each end of the girt bar into the floor brackets.
- verify that the foor is armed by completing a visual check
- girt bar is attached to the floor brackets
- floor brackets clip around the bare metal at each end of the girt bar - Cross Check that the opposite door is armed and confirm by interphone call with the IC.

Disarming
A
- Lift the tab on one floor bracket to remove that end of the girt bar. Repeat for the other end of the girt bar.
- Align the girt bar, centered with the door bustle and insert the slimmer points on the stowage hooks. The slimmer point of the girt bar is the bare metal directly beside the nylon(plastic) stop ring.
- verify the door is disarmed by completing a visual check:
- Girt bar sits on the stowage hooks located on the door bustle.
- stowage hooks hold the girt bar on the slimmer points.
- stowage hooks are not covering the nylon plastic stop rings or the red marking. - Remove the red warning strap from across the window and secure on fastener above viewing window.
- Cross check that the opposite door is disarmed and confirm by interphone call with IC.

Cabin Door Closing
Ensure door and door sills are clear of all items.

- Press down on the door lock release latch.
- grasp the assist handle on the door with one hand and the other hand grasp the assist handle on the inside of the aircraft.
- pull the door towards you.
- the door will lift off the body and enter the cabin
- pull the door inward to close.
- move door handle fully and rotate 180 degrees until the door is closed and locked.
- push down the handle to ensure door is properly closed.

Door Opening - Emergency Operation

- ensure door is armed.
- hold fixed part of the aircraft ( if possible) and move door handle fully in direction of arrow.
- Push door out fully using both hands until locked against fuselage. (expect significant resistance as slide is pulled from door bustle).
- hold fixed part of aircraft if possible and pull manual inflation handle located on the right side of the slide near the door sill. bend knees, stay low.
- Assess slide inflation and condition
- take protective position
- initiate evacuation
- re-assess slide situation.

Life-Raft Operation
A
- Remove life-raft from stowage compartment
- lift the life-raft using the handles at each end of the carrying case and carry to the designated exit.
- unsnap pocket (located at the front end of the carrying case to retrieve the mooring line)
- attach the snap hook to a fixed part of the aircraft ( hand grip, seat frame)
- manoeuver life-raft pack through exit and place at leading edge of wing. ( if using overwing exit)
- while holding to a fixed part of the aircraft/mooring line, drop the unit into the water with one hand holding the inflation handle
- Pull on the inflation handle quickly and give a sharp tug to start the inflation
