Add them together so that one of the values on both sides are the same as one on the other side so you can cancel it off and divide to get the first part of it
Then do it again but instead sub in the value you got and find an answer for the other value

Sometimes you have to multiply the values so multiply each by the other values number on each side so the number can be the same
