What are the cerebral ventricles?
“cushion, ciruculate and carry” A a set of interconnected, fluid-filled cavities in the brain that produce and contain cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). They help cushion the brain, remove waste, and circulate nutrients.
What are the two functions of CSF?
A shock absorber for protecting the brain from sudden movements and a vessel for the exchange of things like nutrients between blood vessels and brain tissue
What are the meninges?
“Manage protection” they are protective sheaths around the brain and spinal cord
What is the vascular system?
The blood supply to our brain which is “VERY IMPORTANT” as the brain has little reserve of basic metabolic fuels and consumes a of energy and relies on its blood supply to provide them.
