What are the cerebral ventricles?

A

“cushion, ciruculate and carry” A a set of interconnected, fluid-filled cavities in the brain that produce and contain cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). They help cushion the brain, remove waste, and circulate nutrients.

What are the two functions of CSF?

A

A shock absorber for protecting the brain from sudden movements and a vessel for the exchange of things like nutrients between blood vessels and brain tissue

A

“Manage protection” they are protective sheaths around the brain and spinal cord

What is the vascular system?

A

The blood supply to our brain which is “VERY IMPORTANT” as the brain has little reserve of basic metabolic fuels and consumes a of energy and relies on its blood supply to provide them.
