MOUNTAINS: Cascade and Coastal Mountains = rain shadow. Sits between Cascade & Monashee Mountains
LAKES: Okanagan Lake remains relatively warm even in winter, offering a moderating affect. Drains via Okanagan River into 3 smaller lakes on south end.. Skaha, Vaseux, and Osoyoos Lakes
