When the signal is locked by the block, what are the three occasions that you must send cancelling before being able to send is line clear again? (3)

1. You have not cleared the section signal before the block indicator has been placed to train on line.
2. You have placed the section signal to danger after the train has stopped, to work on points.
3. You have replaced the section signal back to danger before a train has passed it (by mistake or in an emergency).

If a train isn’t going to proceed, and cancelling needs to be sent, what are the two positions that the block indicator for the advanced signal box can be in, and what must you do with your signals before cancelling can be sent? (2)
