Moral, legal and human rights
Moral rights are based on ethical principles and societal norms, not necessarily enforced by law. Legal rights are established and enforced by particular jurisdictions and provide specific entitlements and protections. Human rights are inherent to all humans and include rights to liberty, and rights to privacy.

The National Appropriate Adult Network helps support young or vulnerable people when involved with the law.
Who are appropriate adults?
They are trained volunteers that hold a good knowledge of the legal system. They are involved with police interviews, and in certain circumstances support in court.
