  1. Keep a record of relevant events
  2. Seek advice from ACAS, a trade union or solicitor
  3. Try solve the issue internally by having a discussion with manager/employer
  4. If dispute remains, take it up in an Employment Tribunal

What are major differences between civil and criminal law?

A

Criminal law deals with individuals or groups that are deemed as threatening or dangerous to the state or society, civil law usually deals with disputes between individuals and companies

What’s the difference between magistrates’ court and crown court?

A

Magistrates’ doesn’t have a jury and deals with summary offences such as burglary, motoring offences and common assault. Crown deals with more serious crimes known as ‘indictable offences’ which include robbery, rape and murder.
