–Mild: they assist us in preparing for the future, solving problems, doing what is best for us, persisting.
–Intense: they disrupt our overall functioning. Could cause ex: may experience difficulty giving a speech. our emotions begin to have negative effects when they are viewed as being excessive in intensity and duration.
