What conditions will prevent doors from opening?

• ROS - Section 1, paragraph 6.8 sets out the following conditions when the CSDE system will prevent doors from opening:
→ ETCS in staff responsible mode
→ Post ETCS override (eg, when passing the previous signal at
STOP)
→ Post ETCS reset
→ ETCS Isolated
→ Post full unit shut down and restart
→ Train out of position on platform ie, not at correct stop position or
mark for consist size
→ Door or signal balise fault
→ ETCS consistency error
→ Post wheel slide event
→ Zero speed fault
→ Attempt to open doors non-platform side
In any of these cases Operators must drive to and stop at the 6 Car mark and contact an authorised person for permission to use the
ETCS CSDE switch.
