Principles or rules that govern behavior, either in life generally, or in sport specifically. Sticking to the spirt of the rules of the game is having good ethics in sport .
DEVIANCE definition
Deviance is seriously retaking the rules and norms. Deviance in sport is widely considered to be unethical and unacceptable in sport .
What causes deviance
Result of a drive to win- at ALL costs. Can be through violence by both competitors and spectators
Why do players illegally dope
Increased chance of winning- win at all costs mentality
Want fame and fortune
Pressure- from coaches, or press
Because everyone does it - need to level the playing feild
Positive phycological effects- ready nerves or increase the arousal
