Q

what’s the Ringelmann affect

A

evidence was based on studies of tug of war, he found that in a team of 8, the aggregate weight pull was less than when each member pulled individually
Ringelmann stated that a basketball team compromising of 5 players is therefore less likely to experience co-ordination losess then a team of 15 in rugby union
The losses occur because the operational effectiveness of a group/ team cannot be sustained for the duration of the whole match.
