DNS
Domain Name System, website name that’s linked to IP address
FQDN
Fully qualified domain name, complete web address in DNS hierarchy
Primary DNS server
Contains all zone information, modifications are made to primary server
Secondary DNS server
Zone info is read only, modifications are pushed by primary DNS server
Local name resolution
Override DNS with local name resolution
Forward lookup
Provide DNS server with FQDN, DNS gives IP address
Reverse lookup
Provide DNS server with IP address, DNS gives FQDN
NTP
Internal clock inside of all devices to synchronize information. Automatic or configurable. udp/123
NTS
Prevent attacks by giving wrong time. TLS handshake with NTS-KE server.
PTP
Precision time protocol on specialized hardware, like robotics
