Conventional
Good interpersonal relationships (fitting in, being nice and meeting expectations of others)
Obeying laws and authority.
Ex: Pay taxes because it is a duty to do so
Postconventional Morality
Moral decisions are guided by universal ethical principles of justice (fairness)
Ex: Citizen engaging in peaceful protest to advocate for human rights
