a dog should be approached from the side (every single . time) and you should not kneel because if the dog attacks you you have no where to go

Submandibular, pre-scapular, axillae, inguinal, popliteal (on a healthy dog it may not be possible to feel axillae, inguinal and ps)

What are the three segments that need to be palpated on abdominal palpation?

1. Cranio-ventrally (liver, pancreas, stomach and spleen)
2. Dorso- cranially (retroperitoneal space in-between the kidneys)
3. Mid-abdomen (small intestines, large intestines and spleen)
4. Caudal- abdomen (bladder, uterus, colon, prostate)
