Conventions vs codes
Conventions are a triple party agreement between IMO, the ships owner and the goverment. SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, MLC, Load line)
Codes are a systematic collection of rules. (ISPS, ISM and FSS)
Describe MGN 38 (AC)
It’s describes the best practice for using the AC system in order to stop legionella disease (bacteria). We prevent it to make sure filters are super chlorinated (15ppm) on the periodic basis that the drains are clear.
