What do levers consist of
A rigid structure-bone
A froce acting up on it (muscle) to produce a turning movement (angular motion)
A fulcrum which is a fixed point (joint)
A load or resistance that is placed on the right structure (weigh oof body pat being moved and anything that it is carrying)
Three different type of levers
F irst class lever- the fulcrum is in the middle of the effort and load
eg in the neck when raising your head.
second class lever-the load is in the middle between the fulcrum and the effort
Eg anoke when standing on tip toes
THird class lever- the effort is in the middle between the fulcrum and the load.
Eg during a bicep curl
