8
Q

role of acetyl CoA in link reaction

A

transfers acetyl group into krebs cycle
allows acetate to enter a cycle it otherwise couldn’t join

18
Q

how many Acetyl CoA produced

19
Q

how many reduced NAD produced

20
Q

how many CO2 produced

21
Q

how many ATP produced

22
Q

where does the Acetyl CoA produced go to

A

goes to krebs

23
Q

where does the Reduced NAD produced go to

24
Q

where does the CO2 produced go to

25
Why do the Link Reaction and Krebs Cycle stop if there is no Oxygen?
1. Oxygen is the final electron acceptor in the ETC. 2. Without it, Reduced NAD (NADH + H+) cannot be re-oxidized 3. cell runs out of oxidized NAD 4. Without NAD, the enzymes for the Link Reaction and Krebs Cycle cannot function.
