• moving the yoke to the right causes right aileron to deflect upwards and downwards for the left aileron
• Archer has differential ailerons- one aileron is raised more than the lower aileron which helps with adverse yaw.

• Archer has manual slotted flaps which are spring loaded to retract back to 0 degrees by using the Johnson bar, has 4 settings: 0, 10,25, and 40.
• slotted flaps produce much greater increase in maximum coefficient of lift because of the air pocket in between the flap and wing.

• it helps decrease sensitivity of the stabilator helping the pilot from over controlling the aircraft.
