What is respiration?
Respiration is the process by which the body exchanges gases (oxygen and carbon dioxide) and produces energy. It includes both external and internal respiration.
What is the difference between internal and external respiration?
Internal respiration: Occurs inside cells (mitochondria); uses O₂ and produces CO₂ and energy (ATP).
External respiration: Involves gas exchange between the atmosphere and body cells through the lungs and blood.
