Q

Capitalism is a “free” system = ?

A

freedom of choice / work / consume.

But the conditions underneath make it feel like an obligation you can’t refuse.

Example: wage labour = work alienation (u sign a contract)

Job demands certain things = time / discipline / attention.

Freedom to choose job, but dominated by expectations.

we must ask… whether the work produces the kind of men and women we wish humanity to be made of.
