Q

When power is applied to the aircraft for example battery external or APU which CCR starts up first ?

A

The left CCR and this takes 2 to 3 minutes approximately. when the left CCR completes start-up and a power source other than the battery is available, the other CCR will come online and all displays and the HUD combiners show their default formats.

16
Q

With auto selected for the bulk cargo temperature, how is airflow increased?

A

The bulk ventilation fan operates

17
Q

Should live animals be carried in the after cargo compartment?

A

No that aft cargo compartment is not temperature controlled

18
Q

What is the source of air for the air cargo heat?

A

Aft E/E cooling exhaust air

19
Q

Which areas does the forward equipment cooling system provide cooling airflow?

A

Flight deck and forward E/E equipment compartment

20
Q

Which areas does the aft equipment cooling system provide cooling airflow?

A

The aft E/E equipment compartment

21
Q

With the forward or aft equipment cooling system in auto, where is the cooling air drawn from? And what moves the cooling air through the system and where is the Air exhausted?

A

Cabin Air
Moved by one of two supply fans and exhausted by a dedicated overboard vent valve or to the appropriate cargo compartment if it requires additional heat

22
Q

With the forward or aft equipment cooling system in override, how is Air drawn through the system and where is this Air exhausted?

A

Cabin differential pressure draws Air to create a reverse flow of air across the equipment and it is exhausted through the override valve to an overboard Venturi

23
Q

What is achieved with the forward equipment cooling switch in override and what is achieved with the aft equipment cooling switch in override?

A

The forward equipment cooling switch AIDS smoke evacuation from the Flight deck and the aft equipment cooling switch AIDS smoke evacuation from the passenger cabin

24
Q

Where is the power electronics cooling system located also known as PECS?

A

After E/E equipment compartment

25
What does PECS supply liquid cooling for?
The large motor power distribution system and the supplemental cooling units and associated motor controllers of the integrated cooling system also known as ICS
26
Where are the liquid quantities and status for the 2PECS liquid cooling loops displayed?
Status page
27
What supplies bleed Air?
Engines
28
What is bleed Air used for?
Engine core and inlet cowl anti-ice operations
29
What is the active FMA role mode if a HUD takeoff departure is selected in the FMC?
HUD TO/GA
30
When does the takeoff guidance become available during a HUD takeoff?
Once the aeroplane approaches the runway Centre line and aeroplane heading is within 45° of the runway heading
31
What do you need to check before an LMO HUD take off?
Ident Loc centred Guidance cue and flight path vector aligned
32
Pushing the LOC/FAC switch arms the AFDS to do what?
Capture and maintain an approach lateral flight path to a runway using an ILS localiser beam or a lateral path by the FMC
33
What is the maximum LOC or FAC intercept angle?
120 degrees
