A

Time Critical Warnings:
- Time critical warnings alert the crew of a non-normal operational condition requiring immediate crew awareness and correvtive action to maitain safe flight.
- Master warning lights, voice alerts, PFD and HUD indications or stick shakers announce time critical conditions.

Warnings:
_ Warnings alert the crew to a non-normal operational or system condition requiring immediate crew awareness and corrective action.

Cautions:
- Caution alert the crew to a non-normal operation or system condtion requiring immediate crew awareness. Corrective action may be required.

Advisories:
- Advisories alert the crew to a non-normal operational or system condition requiring routine crew awareness. Corrective action may be required.

EICAS messages:
- EICAS Alert (Time critical, Warning Alerts or Advisories)

Q

Describe TAMS. Where does it appear and when?

A
  • Trust Asymmetry Minimum Speed.
  • It is a system that provides aural and visual warnings to alert the crew of the minimum control speed with large assymetry. Displayed on the speed tape.
  • TAMS varies with weight and CG and is approximately equal to minimum control speed for the current thrust applied during takeoff or go-around.
  • When airspeed decreases to TAMS, the AIRSPEED, AIRSPEED aural sounds and MASTER WARNING iluminates.
