Q

What is Pause Lock/Circuit Retaining Mode ?

A

Paulse lock is a technique that uses the body’s proprioceptors to capture information.
It’s a way of holding information in the circuit and “locking it in”
Once locked in, any SIM muscle can be used as a surrogate for the original muscle you have Pause Locked in.

Q

When would you use Pause Lock?

A

It’s useful when:
- Testing muscles that are difficult ot hold eg Psoas, Abs, Fascia Lata
- To avoid stressing muscles that are painful
- To avoid retesting a muscle and causing fatigue
- When a muscle gives unclear results
- When a muscle is hypertonic
- When dealing with emotions, so that the client doesn’t need to keep thinking about a painful emotion.

Q

What is the prefered method of Pause Locking?

A

Using the skin’s receptors:
- the practioner places two fingers (or index finger and thumb) together on the skin (or on fabric) of the client and moves them apart.
- to cancel the pause lock, the practioner rubs over the Pause Locked area once.

Q

What is the procedure for Pause Locking when a muscle is hard to hold (ie Psoas)?

A

Example: A weak Psoas is found in a wheel balance
- You will know of a SIM
- When testing the Psoas, it shows as weak so pause lock
- You can now use a more convenient SIM instead of the Psoas. It will test weak, just as the Psoas did.
- Find the best correction to strengthen the SIM
- Cancel the Pause Lock by rubbing the area once and then retest the Psoas. It should now test as strong/locked.

Q

What is the procedure for Pause Locking when addressing a painful emotion?

A
  • Find SIM
  • Client thinks of painful emotion.
  • SIM unlocks in response to the stressor
  • Activate Pause Lock while client continues thinking of issue. The issue is now locked in and the SIM will remain unlocked when the client stops thinking about the issue.
  • Find rememedies (Bach and/or B complex) one at a time. Those that lock the IM should be kept in circuit during ESR
  • Cancel Pause Lock. The IM should test strong.

Q

What is ‘Stacking’ when Pause Locking?

A

You can repeat the Pause Lock process to add related imbalances (usually emotional issues) which will benefit and balance all areas locked in.
1st issue once Pause Locked = everything weak (everything relevant will make muscles test strong).
2nd issue once Pause Locked = everything is strong and anything relevant will make muscles weak.
3rd issue once Pause Locked takes the muscles back to weak and anything relevant will make the muscles strong.

Q

How do you test using Emotional Tissue Memory Scanning?

A
  • Client supine (on back)
  • Take a SIM that can stand constant pressure (Anterior Deltoid is good - Latissimus Doris when prone)
  • Hold hand about an inch fron the body and run hand slowly over body while continously testing the SIM
  • If there is an area where the IM unlocks, double check over the area, then hold hand ON the body and the ESR points.
  • Ask the client if they remember an injury to the site or have an emotional relevance to the area. Not a problem if not.
  • When it feels appropriate, retest the area - the SIM should stay strong.
  • Move on to scan rest of body.
In some cases, there can be a huge release of emotion, so Rescue Remedy and lost of ESR.
  • Ask client to turn over and repeat on back.

Q

What is Switching and who is prone to it?

A

It is electrical scrambling or Neurological Disorganisation:

It causes strange results when testing, for example:
- a muscle which changes between strong, weak, hypertonic for no reason
- All muscles are strong
- All muscles hypertonic
- All muscles weak
- if testing with different hands gives different results

The person is what we call Switched. There is neurological disorganisation. Those prone to switching are:
- Teenagers
- Those under immense stress
- Those who struggle with conistency of thought
- Those who are easily distracted.

Indications of switching:
- confussing L and R
- Triping frequently
- Doing things back to front
- Inabilty to retain info or confusion.

Q

What 3 forms can Switching take?

A
  1. Up/down
  2. Left/right
  3. Front/back

It can manifest as any of the above of a combination.

If someone has been switched for a long time, it may take a number of sessions to rectify

Q

How would you test for Switching?

A

Quick test:
Cross fingers and hold closed to body and test SIM, if unlocks, person has switched,

Or can test a SIM with Right hand, Left, Right, if the person has switched, the muscle will become weak.

Test a Sim
1. Practitioner touches both K27 points and tests SIM, if unlocks, person is L/R switched
2. Practitioner touches above and below lips with two fingers and a thumb. If IM response changes (ie weak to strong or visa versa), person is up/down switched.
3. Practitioner touches coccyx with 2 fingers and a thumb. If the muscle response changes (ie weak to strong or visa versa), person is back/front switched

Q

What is Priority Finger Mode?

A

A means of testing if a course of action is a priority now. It involves placing in the tip of the middle finger against the crease in the joint of the thumb and holding this hand against the client’s body or within their energy field.

16
Q

Give an example of using Priority Mode when testing muscles.

A
  • With a muscle that tests unlocked ie psoas
  • Pause Lock (optional) and use a SIM
  • Test the SIM (which should now be weak) using Priority Finger mode. If the muscle tests strong, it is a priority to fix. (If It still tests weak it is not a priority and the pause lock can be removed).
  • Once a priority muscle has been corrected, any non priority unlocked muscles may have ‘locked’.
17
Q

Give an example of Priority Mode when testing supplements.

A
  • Test muscle that is weak
  • Pause Lock (optional)
  • Find a supplement that makes a muscle strong
  • Place the supplement in the circuit and hold finger priority. You are looking for CHANGE to indicate priority. So if the muscle tests strong with the supplement on the body, retesting the muscle and having it unlock, suggests priority.
18
Q

Priority Mode key points:

A
  • CHANGE indicates priority
  • Either you or client can hold finger mode.
  • Hold priority mode ON or very close to client’s body
  • Using priority mode, corrections can be made in an order that is efficient and corrections tend to hold.
19
Q

What are the three ways food affects us?

A
  1. Biogenic - Positive.
  2. Biocidic - Negative.
  3. Biostatic - Neutral.
20
Q

What are the three levels of food senstivities?

A

1. **Allergy (we don’t test at foundation level). Immediate response. Triggers IGE. Response triggered by immune system
2. Food intollerance. Symptoms appear within hours. Person doesn’t have the capacity to break down the food. IGG (responce 2 -3 hours). York Test. Response triggered by digestive system
3. Food sensitivity. Symptoms can appear 2 -3 days later. IGA **and IGM
(may be able to tollerate the food after 4 months without it). Response triggered by digestive system

21
Q

Which muscles would you test for what foods:

A

Food may affect one muscle but not another.

  1. Brain: Supraspinatius: Tea, coffee, fizzy drinks, alcohol, wheat
  2. Stomach: PMC: Any food, milk, wheat
  3. Spleen: Lat Dorsi: Carbs, sugars (esp fruit sugars and juices), milk, chocolate
  4. Small Intestines: Quads: any food, starches, sugars, cearals wheat, spicy foods
  5. Kidneys: Psoas: Caffine, chocolate, tea, carbonated drinks, aspartame
  6. Gall Bladder: Anterior Deltoid: Fats, rancid fats, cream, pastries
  7. Liver: PMS: Chemicals, preservatives, alcohol, coffee, MSG, fried foods aspartame
  8. Large intestine: TFL: Milk, spicy foods, wheat, coffee, over-cooked foods.
  9. Lungs (Mid and Post Deltoids) and Large Intestines (TFL) are considered to be an extension of the skin in TCM, so can use for chemicals/body products. PMS (Liver is also useful for this).
22
Q

What is the sequence for testing food intolerence/hidden/quantiy intolerence?

A
  1. Test SIM (Check SIM isn’t Hypertonic, TW22 and TW17 don’t affect SIM)
  2. Place food on body (by jaw)
  3. Is muscle Hypertonic?
  4. Hidden (TW22)
  5. Quantity (Mastoid bone TW17)
  6. Hand on belly/navel
  7. Arched neck (trauma associated with food)
23
Q

What is the test for Protein deficiency and the test for Mineral deficiency?

A

Protein deficiency: Rub clients hair (nape of neck) between fingers and test SIM. If SIM unlocks, client is not eating enough protein or can not digest protein well, and either digestive enzymes or HCL (hydrochloric acid (breaks down proteins)) may be needed.

If client suffers indigestion, zinc may help?

Mineral deficiency: Test SIM while client bites on finger nail. If indicator unlocks, client needs trace minerals. (Magnesium, calcium and sodium)

24
Q

What is the process for ESR Past?

A

This doesn’t change what happened but changes the body’s response to it.
1. Test SIM while client thinks about event
2. If IM unclocks, enter into pause lock.
3. Check if it’s priority to deal with.
4. Find Bach/B complex/other to support
5. Carry out ESR
6. Ask client to think of safe place
7. TV infront of them, they have remote
8. Run through event as it happened but change the critical moment. Can pause/rewind/stop etc
9. Then ask them to run the revised event in their head
10. Bring back to their safe place, then the room
11. Breathe
12. Retest SIM
13. Remove Pause Lock

25
What's the process for ESR Future?
Great for future events such as exam/driving test. 1. Test SIM while client thinks about event 2. If IM unclocks, enter into pause lock. 3. Check if it's priority to deal with. 4. Find Bach/B complex/other to support 5. Carry out ESR 6. Ask client to think of safe place 7. TV infront of them, they have remote 8. Run through event AS THEY WANT IT TO HAPPEN. Can pause/rewind/stop etc 9. Then ask them to run the revised event in their head 10. Bring back to their safe place, then the room 11. Retest SIM 12. Remove Pause Lock
26
What is the **theory** behind breast congestion (Mastalgia)/non cancerous lump technique?
Works in conjuction with lymph points for the Fascia Lata muscle. (Breast congestion has been shown to improve when bowels have been cleansed/food intolerances are avoided/fibre added to diet). Theory is body dumps toxins away from vital organs and creates lumps/congestion.
27
What is the technique for breast mastalgia/non cancerous lumps?
Ask the client to put their hand over the tender area. WITH PERMISSION, place your hand over theirs (avoiding nipple). Test SIM. if it unlocks, enter pause lock or ask client to keep hand on area while you test water, B complex and psyllium. The IM will lock with any that are beneficial. Leave relevant remedies on body while you rub TFL NL (hip to knee) on the leg which is the same side as the lump/soreness. Rub firmly over the whole length (hip to knee) in three passes, going back to any very painful areas. Move clients hand to any remaining sore (breast) points and repeat until the breast tenderness has gone.
28
What advice would you give to a client with breast mastalgia?
1. Eat plenty of fibre - maybe psyllium supplements 2. At least 2 litres of water a day 3. No anti-perspirant. Use rock or crystal deoderant 4. No under-wire bras 5. Vit B complex supplements (possibly others) 6. Test client for animal protein sensitivity/limit animal protein 7. Test client for diary (anything from cow) sensitivity/no dairy. 8. Limit biocidic foods Silica - 30c homeopathic for infected cysts. This helps expel unwanted things from body.
29
What is the five element framework?
The Five Elements is a comprehensive template that organizes all natural phenomena into five master groups or patterns in nature. Each of the five groups—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—include categories such as a season, a direction, climate, stage of growth and development, internal organ, body tissue, emotion, aspect of the soul, taste, color, sound . . . the categories are seemingly limitless The Five Elements include the internal organs, and the interconnected relationships between them.
30
Why is balance important in the Law of 5 Elements?
Within TCM, health comes from being in a state of harmony and balance within these elements.
31
What is the **SHENG** cycle in the Law of 5 Elements?
This is a **nuturing** cycle: Mother nurturing child (son/daughter). WOOD feeds FIRE FIRE creates ashes which become EARTH. EARTH can be mined for METAL. METAL provides WATER via condensation. WATER nurishes plants to allow WOOD to grow. Chi flows unimpeded in a clockwise direction around the cycle when health is in balance.
32
What is the **KO** cycle in the Law of 5 Elements?
This is a **control** cycle: Grandparent to grandchild, instilling discipline, and ensuring the mother doesn't become exhausted from over nurturing. METAL controls WOOD by chopping it down. WOOD controls EARTH by pushing roots into it and providing stability from floods. EARTH controls WATER by channeling it's flow. WATER controls FIRE by dampening/putting out FIRE controls METAL by melting/reforming it.
33
What Meridians are on the outer side of the cycle in the Law of 5 Elements , and which on the inner?
Yang/male meridians are on the outer circle, providing protection. Yin/female meridians are on the inner circle. The male organs function part time (primarily relate to digestion and need a rest after working). The female organs are constantly working.
34
MEI and the Law of 5 Elements, explain:
Using example of Tripple Warmer Tonification (ie pulling energy into the TW meridian), the **first tonification** points will be on the **mother/sheng cycle** one element back. As TW is Yang, the Yang on the element back (wood) is **Gall Bladder**, with one point on the **TW** meridian The second points will have one on the **TW**, and one on the **grandparent/Ko cycle** (Water), Yang, which is **Bladder**.
35
What is the correlation between the Law of 5 Elements and clients heath?
- Identify imbalances in the elements, related meridians, organs and glands via muscle testing - Build a picture of where the imbalances are - Correcting these imbalances brings the client back into energetic balance. - Can use the wrist pulses to check for under energy
36
What is the technique for using Wrist Pulses for under energy?
Allows you to quickly scan for **under energy** (unlocked muscles in that circuit) - find SIM - check wrist pulses touching on wrist at a time with 3 (or 4) finger tips. MUST BE THE PRACTITIONER THAT DOES THIS - not client - first press firmly and test IM. This tests the Yin or female organs. If the IM weakens, test fingers individually to find the relevant organ. - Repeat with light touch for the Yang organs. Do the same on both hands
37
What are the wrist pulse points on the right hand?
From wrist towards elbow CV (deep only) Metal: Lung - deep, Large Int - light Earth: Spleen - deep, Stomach - Light Fire: CX - deep, TW - light
38
What are the wrist pulst points on the left hand?
From wrist towards elbow GV( light only) Fire: Heart - deep, Small I - light Wood: Liver - deep, GB - light Water: Kidney - deep, Bladder - light
39
What is the benefit of playing music into CV4?
- Playing music (airplane mode) into CV4 (between stomach and navel) will **strenghten weak muscles**. - Baroque is best as want rhythm that matches heartbeat - Use ESR at same time Mozart Sonata for two Pianos is said to reduce epileptic seizures if played daily Great for **stimulating and strengthening immune system.**
