Tips for effective reflection
- find quiet spot, start with basic relaxation exercise (e.g.PMR)
- use same time and place
- review issues to reflect on beforehand
- do something pleasant and relaxing afterwards

What to do in distressing situation on PACE
If possible, remove yourself > contact supervisor (or PACE coordinators, convenor, wellbeing, Lifeline etc. - very important to speak to someone) > if you can’t contact anyone then move to calming/uplifting environment (mood often reflects environment), stay warm, deep breaths and box breathing, do something soothing, decide best way to contact someone, contact coordinator or convenor to tell what happened
Who to contact? (descending list)
- Check activity guide/handbook and talk to PACE supervisor in first instance (esp. if minor)
- PACE tutor
- PACE co-convenor/activity coordinator (if unavailable, then PACE program delivery officer)
- If serious - contact PACE team + unit convenor

Selection criteria
Cover letter should address selection criteria (likely discussed further in interview)
Selection criteria include - key qualifications, training, knowledge, skills, experience required
When looking at criteria:
- read carefully and highlight key words
- brainstorm (write down all relevant things)
- think of specific examples using ABC model (activity - behaviour - consequence)
- focus on key achievements (suggestions that have been implemented, procedures streamlined, satisfied clients, objective indications of good outcome)
