- Close connection test (between wrongful conduct + what employee was supposed to do) - Mohamud v Morrisons
- ‘On frolic of own’ - Hilton v Thomas Burton. Employee acting outside course of employment
Remedies
Employers must be able to compensate C - insurance. Encourages higher safety standards.
