- Occupational identity could be conceptualised as th eexpresion of the physical, affective cognitive, and spiritrual aspects of human nature, in an interaction with the insitiuaitojnal, social, cultural and political dimensions of the environemtn across the time and space of a persons lifespan, through occupatoons of slef care, productivity and leisure.

- Adaptions takes place in a specific context with its opportunites, support, contraints and demands.
- Disability can affect both identiy and competence it effects are more pronounced on competence.

our social relationships - Identities are closely tied to what we do and our interpretations
of those actions in our social context - Identities provide an important central figure in a self-narrative or life story that provides coherence and meaning for everyday events and life itself
- Because life meaning is derived in the context of identity, it is an essential element in promoting well-being and life satisfaction.
